Brian Gill has been a member of FUUSN since 2010. He is the last member of his family to serve on the Board, following his wife (Jenny Lerner) and daughter (Siena Lerner-Gill), both of whom served as youth members of the Board (several decades apart). Brian served for many years as co-chair of FUUSN’s finance committee, and has also co-led the annual pledge drive several times. He has mentored several FUUSN youth through the Coming of Age program and has also been a member of the committee on ministry. Like many other FUUSNites, Brian has completed the pledge to end racism. An ex-Catholic, he is delighted to be part of a liberal religious congregation as an atheist, alongside his theist-Jewish-UU spouse. Outside of FUUSN, Brian conducts research and analysis on issues in K-12 schooling for state and local education agencies, foundations, and the U.S. Department of Education. But he frequently puts his workday on hold to join FUUSN’s pickleball group.
