November 30: Missing Hard Things: Guest Preacher Mac Perkins-High leading worship and preaching (Sanctuary and Zoom)
For tens of thousands of years, cold has been one of the great enemies of humanity, and the pursuit of warmth has been central to our survival. Well, it’s warmer now. But in the bleak late autumn, surrounded by the skeletons of trees, it is easy to want it to be warmer still. It is hard to miss the deep cold of years past. How do we find it in ourselves to miss hard things, and what do we lose by letting them go?
Mac Perkins-High (they/he) is a candidate for UU Ministry based in Harvard, Massachusetts. A lifelong Unitarian Universalist, Mac was called to ministry through their experiences in the food service industry. They hold master’s degrees in Divinity and Education, and most recently served as the Intern Minister at the First Church of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
