2024 Ferry Beach Retreat: Friday, October 11 – Monday, October 14
The Best Start for the FUUSN and TPC year!
MEET NEW FRIENDS, CONNECT WITH OLD FRIENDS AND GET INTO THE SPIRIT OF THE NEW YEAR!
If you’re new to FUUSN (First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton) or TPC (Theodore Parker Church), have you heard about Ferry Beach yet? Here’s all you need to know: We all head up to the beach in Maine to spend a joyful and relaxing weekend together.
WHAT’S THE PLACE LIKE?
Ferry Beach is a small UU conference center on a seven-mile stretch of sandy beach in Maine. It’s a collection of mostly renovated wood frame buildings from the last century. The main building has a lobby with a fireplace, comfy chairs and a wrap-around porch that faces the ocean. There is a huge dining room with a nice, big porch where we share catered meals; another large indoor space for crafts, sing-a-longs and games; and a theater for dances and talent shows.
WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR?
In addition to TPC joining FUUSN (which was new last year), we have Indigenous People’s weekend back again and are offering both 2 and 3 night packages (the 2 night package includes 6 meals, the 3 night package has 7 meals). Ferry Beach has a new chef this year who will provide vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options at every meal. Registration will be direct to Ferry Beach this year, although we will still have a separate place to donate to the Scholarship Fund.
